While many Hollywood types keep extensive property portfolios, Chris Pine has mostly stayed off the radar.
Apparently, the “Star Trek Beyond” star is happy to hole up in his Loz Feliz, CA, spread, which he picked up from the actor Jason Lee in 2010 for $3.1 million.
But the actor, who also starred in “Wonder Woman 1984,” recently dipped his toe into real estate waters, with an adorable abode in Valley Village, CA. It could be described as modest by the standards of Hollywood stars, and it sold for $1.375 million, Dirt reported.
Pine isn’t about to move himself. Instead, he purchased the place for a relative, Architectural Digest notes. (The A-list star Leonardo DiCaprio made headlines recently for making a similar type of home purchase.) Way to pay it forward, Chris!
Let’s have a look at where his lucky family member will live.
Built in 1947, the charming interior offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms on 1,800 square feet of living space.
The layout includes wood floors, two living rooms, and a working fireplace. The open, eat-in kitchen contains white and red cabinetry with newer stainless-steel appliances, and room for a dining table and chairs.
The remodeled master suite and bathroom feature a sitting area, large windows, and outdoor access. The updated master bathroom includes a walk-in glassed shower and dual vanities.
The 9,000-square-foot lot is packed with perks, including a covered patio area for lounging and dining, eco-friendly and low-maintenance landscaping with artificial grass, as well as a solar-heated pool surrounded by a patio.
The backyard includes a 400-square-foot converted garage or bonus room with an en suite bathroom, and a detached shed that could be used as a home office.
In the front yard, more artificial turf covers the ground, surrounded by wood fencing and accessed by a rolling driveway gate.
Last traded for $899,000 in 2015, the updated bungalow came on the market in January for $1.35 million. But Pine was prepared to pay a little over asking price to secure the home.
When he’s not doing real estate deals, the University of California at Berkeley alum is known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk in the “Star Trek” film series reboot.
Pine, 40, also starred in “Wonder Woman” and “Wonder Woman 1984” with Gal Gadot. His upcoming projects include “Dungeons & Dragons,” another “Star Trek” sequel, and an action movie, “Violence of Action.”
Kevin Crosby with Coldwell Banker Realty represented the seller. The buyer was repped by Jeffrey Hartman with Coldwell Banker Realty.
